So! Just discovered your page, and I'm so very glad I did. Fantastic work.

I'm currently modding a Buzz Bee shotgun, and I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to paint it. Never done this sort of thing before, see. So, if it's not too much trouble, would you mind pointing me in the direction of some good paints?

I did one of those and it pretty much self destructed on me xD (cheap parts, mainly) So I wish you much luck on your re-assemble!

Hmm
As I say to most, Avoid excessive use of the rattlecan like the plague.
Try some Folk Art metallics hand paint (you can get them at your local uber-mart in the crafts section for about $1-2 usd)
They will take a few coats to give you a solid color but it is much better than all spray (Use a soft-bristle brush)
Base coat most everything in flat/semi-gloss black and let it dry/cure for at least 24 hours (a light steel-wooling when cured will do wonders for the metalics. Look for 0000 or 000 grade wool)
Antiquing is all personal taste. I go from so filthy some fear contracting HIV from touching it to just a bit scuffed up.
when you are happy with something, seal it with some flat or semi-gloss Krylon clear.

Great, thanks for the tips! =D

Oh, and do you take apart the gun when you paint?
